Party Animals

I have to be totally honest, and say that I have a very low-tolerance for those social media personalities that use their social media accounts as self-promoting platforms or even worse, their personal diary for the world to see. If you or someone you know has been struggling with this, please, for the love of God, find a hotline to call. While social media may be exhausting at times, last week was National Puppy Day, and I have never been more content with my Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feeds. For those of you that have been living under a rock, many people posted cute photos, videos, or heartwarming anecdotes about their dogs in honor of National Puppy Day. It made the week. I mean, is there anything better than a silly dog with shoes on?

In addition to National Puppy Day, we celebrated our puppies 1st birthday on March 28th, so I think it is only fitting that I do a pup-inspired post in honor of all of these big events and milestones.

When I am not spending my spare time eating snacks and watching Reality Television, I often troll various pet rescue sites. While I totally appreciate the selflessness of doggy foster families, I sometimes take issue with the biographies created for adoptable pets. I have taken it upon myself to rewrite a few of them, to highlight the true personalities (as I interpret them from a few online photos) for people thinking about adopting. You’re welcome.

Featured above is ‘Frank.’ Judging from Frank’s expression, I’d say Frank is either posing for a passport photo ***absolutely no smiling allowed*** or he is in the waiting room at the dentist office and his name just got called. This guy definitely has a great sense of humor, I’m pretty sure he burst out laughing after this photo was taken. I am no expert, but I think it’s safe to say that this guy is a pit bull mix, even though they really hate to say that. But, seriously, If you’re still hung up on the pit bull thing, get over yourself.

More on Frank

Pictured here is ‘Sadie.’ Sadie actually has a very lengthy bio online that shares she is playful and loves people and humans alike. It states that she should go to a small home which makes no sense to me, but if you have a small home THIS IS THE GAL FOR YOU. Sadie is an “Austrailian Silky Terrier” mix weighing in at 25 pounds. What they neglected to mention in Sadie’s bio is that her spirit human is a 70 year old bingo-playing, lifelong smoker, that lives in a trailer community in Florida.

Here we have ‘Dublin.’ Whoever put Dublin in this outfit should be put on trial for something, because this is just embarrassing for everybody involved. Regardless of this little guy’s outfit, his personality shines through. I think it’s safe to say that Dublin is friendly yet bitchy, but in the best way possible (like he is so unimpressed with his costuming). If you want to be one of those annoying social media personalities that I referenced earlier, it looks like Dublin will allow you to dress him up at his expense, just to be sure you get at least 10 likes. Loyal AND adorable.

This is Scottie. I think a picture says 1,000 words. With that in mind, it is clear that Scottie does not give an eff. I am a sucker for a sleeping puppy because my puppy never slept. My advice to you: Snatch this cutie pie up!

P.s. he is definitely in a sleeping bag, which implies that he is sporty and adventurous.

In closing, I would like to share some photos of my favorite party animal, Jeffrey. Here is Jeffrey celebrating his 1st birthday. The hat was his idea.
